Heike Leinhäuser

Business as usual? Business, yeah. As usual? Not so much.

As an entrepreneur, Heike doesn’t draw within the lines. After earning her degree in translation, she began her career in what back then was considered one of the largest corporate in-house language services in Germany. But that’s about all that can be considered “traditional” about her career path. After working there for a number of years, she decided to break away to start her own innovative translation agency where, to this day, she continues to surprise her colleagues with extraordinary approaches and solutions. Throughout it all, she places people, whether employee or customer, at the heart of everything she does.

Heike is an entrepreneur and translator with a passion. So, it’s not surprising that on top of –  or maybe precisely because of – the role she plays in her company, she was voted President of the Verband der deutschen Übersetzungsunternehmen (QSD) in 2007, an organization she’s successfully directed ever since.
