Today in their auditing report, DEKRA Certification GmbH announced that Leinhäuser Language Services GmbH had successfully completed its ISO 17100 certification. The standard defines processes for the provision of translation services as well as the management of their quality and replaces the European code EN 15038 as the internationally applicable standard.
In addition to noting that the standard’s specifications were fulfilled without exception, the auditor’s report highlighted the “especially high significance” that the company places on its quality-control system. The report goes on to explain that this is more than just a tool to ensure “the provision of a high-quality service”; rather, the company’s employees truly embrace and practice this approach. “The employees value great expertise,” the report explains, praising their possibilities for further professional development in areas called “clusters.”
The knowledge-cluster strategy has been part of the corporate strategy for two years and serves as a way to categorize the various types of customers. It also illustrates the company’s specialization in new areas of service, such as copywriting for social media channels, international SEO and project management for audiovisual localization.
“It was particularly interesting to talk with the auditor about the direction our business is taking,” said Heike Leinhäuser, Managing Director of Leinhäuser Language Services GmbH. “The neutral, yet experienced perspective she lent to the expansion of our service portfolio to include increasingly complex international communications projects and her assessment of our long-term HR initiative provided us with valuable feedback that reinforces our strategy.”
