Julia Haas

Julia is a life-long lover of language learning who found her passion when introduced to English, French, and Spanish in gymnasium (high school). She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Comparative Linguistics and Literature, with minors in English and Spanish, and a Master of Arts in Translation Studies, with a specialization in technology, from Saarbrücken University. Always a go-getter, Julia also studied Italian independently during her university years and, after graduating, decided to learn Danish on her own.

With her degrees in hand, Julia joined Macklin GmbH, where she worked for three years until its merger with Leinhäuser in 2019. Starting in in 2020, Julia’s sharp eye and grammatical exactness led to her to increasingly specialize in the area of transcreation, which is the careful adaptation of texts to ensure core messages resonate in target markets.

Chiefly, Julia looks after clients in the corporate communications division and specializes in sustainability reporting; CSRD, ESRS, and year-round communications related to sustainability are all her familiar territory. The remaining portion of her work schedule she dedicates to managing more creative projects in marketing and copywriting, not least a major toy brand’s product claims and brand slogans.

Julia works from her home office in the Saarland region and in her spare time enjoys hiking and swimming outdoors, which comes in handy since her other main passion is baking and creating all sorts of variations of brownies.
